Speed Up Demand Drills

Speed up the demand drill in ISQ (Inventory Status Inquiry) by purging unneeded consumption data. Consumption data is saved to allow for comparison of actual demand to forecasted demand.

If you don’t use PowerShift forecasting (and why not???), you can delete unnecessary consumption detail by running Forecast/Consumption Purge (MSB) through the current date. If you do use forecasting and the Forecast Performance Report (MFCS), specify a purge date that retains the data necessary to do required comparisons.

I challenge you all to take a popular item, call it up in ISQ, select the Demand button and time the results. Run the Forecast/Consumption Purge and then do the ISQ drill to demand again. Let us know what you find! Email randy@qantel.com.
